Lights and multimedia event featuring 20 million LED lights coming to Singapore in September

The world’s largest light, sound and multimedia show of its kind will make its international premiere in Singapore from Sep 13 at the Bayfront Event Ground.
Called illumi, the event is set to transform the Singapore skyline into a display of larger-than-life structures and innovative light installations using 20 million LED lights.
The immersive experience made its debut in Montreal, Canada, in October 2019 where it thrilled audiences by turning ordinary spaces into magical landscapes.
The event in Singapore will have nine themed worlds with lifelike animatronics and thousands of installations. Here are the highlights:
The Enchanted Maples transports guests to Canada with glowing maple leaves and sweet treats from the Sugar Shack.
Walls of Lights transforms into a winter wonderland with shimmering snowflakes and curtains of twinkling lights.
Puppies and Kitties offers peace and harmony among over 200 adorable animals.
The Magical Forest dazzles with multicoloured trees and majestic wildlife, while the illumi Tree of Light stands at 47 metres tall (that’s the size of five Merlions stacked together), shedding its light on an enchanting carousel for a joyful moonlit ride.
The Tunnel of Colours presents a kaleidoscopic adventure.
The Dune Palace evokes the Sahara with genies and magic floating carpets.
The event is committed to minimising its environmental footprint with the use of energy-efficient lighting technologies and recycled materials in its installations.
Creator of illumi Normand Latourelle said: “illumi is here to entertain you, dazzle you, and make you dream with your eyes wide open. No matter your age, illumi is a phenomenal journey into the imagination for your greatest pleasure.”
